Beauty Lies in Lover's Eyes
Typically, men picture their ideal regarding female beauty very clearly before they even have a splendid opportunity to meet the alive and breathing personification of this very ideal. Sometimes these ideals are based on the fact that men like certain actresses or certain supermodels and i.e. are aching to meet soulmates who would look exactly like these perfect women from show business they worship.
However, reality very often (most of the time) offers things and 'ideals' which totally differ from what we may have dreamed about or blissfully imagined. It's not that bad because in many cases it doesn't necessarily mean that we are given something we totally do not want or consider ugly or unpleasant.
It implies situations when in reality we get things which are aimed to extend our narrow views and open our eyes to different sides of female beauty. These unexpected twists and turns of fate make our perception less reserved and more open to new horizons of beauty.
What does the saying 'Beauty lies in lover's eyes' imply? It means that a man considers perfectly beautiful only the woman he loves. He has already gone into the most intricate depths of her personality, has studied and examined her physical goodies and i.e. knows her inside out. He feels that this woman is his own property in the most beautiful and unique meaning of the words, as a result he successfully overlooks all her possible visual imperfections and flaws.
It doesn't mean that this man doesn't notice other females' beauty; it suggests the fact that these beautiful females become some sorts of small lifeless dolls for him. He sees them passing him by somewhere down there close to the pavement, while his beloved one and only lady is the one who is of the same height as he is i.e. her looks fit the man like a glove.
This man feels genuinely happy because he truly thinks that the woman he has chosen is a real perfection. Even though his Miss Perfect may seem below average regarding appearance to others, this marvelous lady should be worshipped because she managed to charmingly sting her man in such a way so that he is now totally blind and thinks she's the most beautiful woman in the whole world.
These hypnotized men love their women's cellulites, their slightly wrong features, their awfully thin hair, their short legs or a bit hooked noses etc. Seems that they need nobody but their imperfect perfect women which is nothing but great because it contributes to huge amount of spirituality existing between people who love each other dearly.
There are exceptions of course when certain men look at gorgeous women too often instead of concentrating at their one and only gorgeous woman, but of course these exceptions hardly ever imply faithful lover's eyes. They are all about hungry eyes and other somatisms that don't really care who to look at or who to touch as long as this 'who' is female and at least slightly pretty.
In any case, when a man loves his woman, to him she is the most beautiful and charming lady in the world, there's no shadow of a doubt about it. Just like there are no shadows or other dark sides within their not always perfect but invariably harmonious relationship.
