Beauty Bites

The dower of great beauty has always been misfortune, since happiness and beauty do not agree together.

Pedro Calderon de la Barca.

Now why is that tell me please Senor Pedro? What does this strange quotation has to do with all the sayings which firmly state that beauty will save the world and other positive mottos regarding female beauty... Now that we have almost convinced you that female beauty is a great virtue and equals happiness, especially if accompanied by a few more 'graces', some Pedro tells us that beauty and happiness are highly incompatible...

Oh well, looks like Senor de la Barca is no longer alive enough to be able to explain his interesting reflections on the subject, we will try to do it for him.

There really exists an opinion which says that happiness and beauty hardly ever establish mutually beneficial cooperation within a lady's world. What are the reasons which contribute to the flourishing of stereotypes of this type excuse the shotgun tautology. We'll tell you in case you don't know...

Haven't you ever heard about some poor gorgeous models' destinies? Myriad of them get involved with some mafiosos – situations which bring nothing good to the poor girls (except improving their financial life for a certain, quite short period of time). According to the scary stories from the news, these girls are either killed in some strange places together with their criminal boyfriends or end up being seriously injured, drug-overdosed or alcohol-addicted.

We are sure you have heard all these stories which are true to life. It happens that beautiful girls are very demanding and chase big money which most of the time suggests big problems, big big criminal world, big male fish which is also excessively demanding i.e. girlfriends-changing-at-the-speed-of-light. Sometimes young girls just don't realize that the world of the rich is just too wild and it really is hard to get by just upon a smile there...

It's just that beautiful girls attract everyone's attention – both good and bad people may be interested in them, that's why they should be especially careful when chasing material 'great-being' and anything or anyone who can be connected with it.

Also this very beauty-doesn't-equal-happiness stereotype suggests that all beautiful women have loads of admirers. As a rule, a woman is so confused and puzzled whom to choose, that she often chooses the wrong one and suffers from it afterwards. Or, on the contrary, a beautiful lady with many men around her wanting her can intentionally and quite clear-mindedly and cold-bloodedly choose the one she doesn't love keeping her own hidden motives in mind. The outcome stays invariably unhappily the same.

Beauty is a great thing craved by any woman whose appearance is very average or even below average, but, unfortunately, in many cases female beauty has its price. Ladies themselves are most of the time to blame for this notion of price to appear. But in the wild wild world around us we should understand that these things have already become natural.
